iCOMPEL Digital Signage User Guide (V9.2.3)
1. On the menu bar, click Ad hoc Entry.
2. Select Media Folder. The iCOMPEL shows the contents of your media folder.
3.To view a file, click its name.
4. To upload a new file or manage the existing files, see Uploading Content Files .
5.To change the order in which files play, see Folder Play Properties .
Change the whole layout (this assumes you have already added an ad hoc layout to the ad hoc page):
1. On the menu bar, click Ad hoc Entry.
2. Select the ad hoc page relevant to the layout you want to change.
3.Select the new layout from the drop-down list.
4. Click the or button.
Change the schedule for when the iCOMPEL makes changes to the display (for example, to coincide
with meal or break times or for an after-hours event):
1. On the menu bar, click Ad hoc Entry.
2. Select the ad hoc page relevant to the schedule you want to change.
3.Modify the schedule using the drop-down lists and check boxes.
4. Click the or button.
If the current time is within your new schedule, the iCOMPEL triggers the change immediately (unless it
has already begun another schedule).
If the schedule has related audio or you require silence, reprogram the audio on or off time to match.
Activate events on demand (for example, to show a video selected from a list):
1. On the menu bar, click Ad hoc Entry.
2. Select the ad hoc page relevant to the Advance To command you want to invoke.
3.Select the relevant name from the drop-down list.
4. Click the or button.
5.12 Ad Hoc Theming
You can change how the iCOMPEL user interface appears to your ad hoc users by using Ad hoc Theming. Ad hoc
theming lets you customize page headers and the text that appears on the page.
You might use ad hoc theming to:
Include a company logo in a page to make it consistent with a brand identity.
Provide a translation of pages in a language not already supported on the iCOMPEL.
The ad hoc theme applies to ad hoc users on the iCOMPEL or on an iCOMPEL subscribing through a channel. You cannot
